Julie is a trauma-informed therapist specializing in high-functioning adults who grew up in emotionally unpredictable or unsafe environments.

She supports individuals navigating the lasting impact of childhood trauma, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Her work also includes supporting clients with borderline personality patterns, such as emotional intensity and fear of abandonment, as well as those processing medical trauma, grief, and survivorship. As a breast cancer survivor, Julie brings both professional expertise and lived experience to this aspect of her work.

Julie has worked in both outpatient and intensive outpatient settings, leading DBT groups and providing individualized therapy to support clients’ growth and stability. ​Her therapeutic approach integrates psychodynamic, person-centered, CBT, and DBT modalities. She focuses on helping clients strengthen emotional regulation, deepen self-understanding, and build more secure, fulfilling relationships.
With over 8 years of mental health advocacy, Julie brings both clinical training and creative leadership to her work. She is the author of Take Me to Nirvana (2023), raising awareness about childhood trauma and parent-initiated abuse. She is also the Founder and Chief Editor of Moody Melon Magazine, host of The Moody Melon Show and Willing and Able: A Real Guide Out of Depression, and co-creator of Robo Cat Story, a narrative-driven game exploring grief and emotional healing.
